At CUHK, the Improving Postgraduate Learning (IPL) programme is a structured and cross-disciplinary framework designed to equip RPg (Research Postgraduate) and taught doctoral students with essential research and academic skills. While the programme is tailored specifically for these core cohorts, enrolment is open to other postgraduate students on a space-available basis.

Registration Dates

Term 1 courses / examinations (September - December 2026): Please register on or after 26 August 2026 (Wednesday) 9:00 am.

Term 2 courses / examinations (January - May 2027): To be confirmed

Registration closes three days before the course's start date.

⚠️ Important Note

1. Walk-in attendance at any IPL course and examination without prior registration and a confirmation email will not be counted for official attendance records.

2. Arriving late or leaving early may result in your attendance being invalidated.

3. Failing to show up without a verified, unforeseen emergency will be reported to your Supervisor and Graduate Division Head. If your schedule changes, please drop the course before the registration closing date to free up the quota for others.
